Just down the road
a piece!
There is more to this simple southern
directional term than meets the eye. When you think of your relationship with
GOD, consider it not being a short trip from point a to point b. It is not just
a one day a week act of pretending.
It
is a long road and an everyday commitment to the WORD and HIM! I am so glad
that I got out of the way and asked for directions from the BOOK.

Not just a short or long trip, but an eternal one;
and the destinations in our future once we "graduate' from the physical realm
are beyond our imagination.

Just down the road a piece!
It is a long road and often times the only part that
you really see is "just a piece down the road". God says his Word is
a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. This seems to indicate that while
walking in the dark, the only part of the road visible is what is illuminated
by the light/lamp. In the natural, unless you have a high powered flash light
you really can't see that far ahead clearly, just a "piece down the
road". I've tried arguing with God about this. It would be easier if I
could see further with greater clarity at all times. So far He's not
interesting in changing His way to suit me. LOL.
